Vice President Kenang Buya Syakur As A Smart And Kharismatic Ulama

JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin expressed his condolences for the death of KHSyakur Yasin, who is familiarly called Buya Syakur.

The Vice President remembers Buya Syakur as an intelligent and charismatic cleric whose work is broad, touching all circles of society.

"He is not only the spreader of the minutes of Islam, but also the bearer of the message of wisdom and love for others," said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 17.

Buya Syakur passed away at Mitra Plumbon Hospital, Cirebon, West Java, on Wednesday morning.

According to the Vice President, because of his charismatic personality, Buya Syakur is respected and loved by the community, so that his legacy of goodness and knowledge will continue to be remembered.

"I express my deep condolences for the death of Prof. Dr. KH. Abdul Syakur Yasin," said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

"To all Buya Syakur's families, especially the extended family of the Cadangpinggan Islamic Boarding School, Papermaya, Indramayu, hopefully they will be given patience and fortitude in facing this disaster," said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

The vice president said the loss of a great scholar, such as Buya Syakur, was not only a loss to his family, but also to the Indonesian people.

"Hopefully the deceased, almaghfurllah, Buya Syakur will be forgiven for all his mistakes, accepted all his good deeds, and placed in the best place in the sight of Allah Subhanahu Wawa Ta'ala," said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin praying.

Buya Syakur was born in 1948 in Tulungagung Village, Sukagumiwang District, Indramayu Regency, West Java. During his lifetime he was known as a broad-minded cleric.

After a dozen years of education at the Babakan Islamic Boarding School, Ciwaringin, Cirebon, Buya Syakur traveled from one country to another to gain knowledge and experience.

Buya Syakur, among others, has studied in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Tunisia, and Egypt. It was even mentioned that Buya Syakur had studied in Oxford, England.
