DKI Bawaslu Traces Violation Of The Political Party Flag That Makes Husband And Wife Accident On The Mampang Flyover

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) will investigate alleged election violations from the installation of campaign props (APK) at the Mampang Flyover, South Jakarta.

The APK in the form of flags of a number of political parties installed on the Mampang Flyover is now causing casualties. A husband and wife of motorcycle riders had an accident because they were blocked by the party flag at that location.

"We are currently investigating the South Jakarta Bawaslu," said the Coordinator of the DKI Jakarta Bawaslu Violation Handling Division Benny Sabdo in a short message, Wednesday, January 17.

For information, the motor vehicle accident caused by the APK has occurred again. This time the husband and wife slipped at the Mampang Flyover, South Jakarta. According to police statement, the cause of this accident was due to a number of party flags collapsing and blocking the speed of the victim's motorbike.

Mampang Police Chief, Commissioner David Kanito confirmed the incident. David explained that the cause of this accident was allegedly because 12 party flags fell, thereby endangering passing motorists.

"That's right. The victims were husband and wife. (The cause) is indeed 12 flags whose pole positions collapsed and endangered road users," said David.

The police have coordinated with the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) and the District General Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu) to curb the campaign props (APK).

"Coordinate with the District and Bawaslu Panwas of South Jakarta City to immediately control the flags so that they do not harm road users and cause accidents," he said.

The victim has been taken to the Mampang Hospital for medical treatment. "The victim was taken to the Mampang Prapatan Hospital," he said.
