The Body Of A Rotting Woman Found In A Ceramic Transport Container At Tanjung Priok Port

JAKARTA - An unidentified corpse was found in a container that will be used to load ceramics. The discovery of the rotting corpse was discovered on Tuesday morning, January 16. Allegedly, the woman's body was carried away by a container departing from eastern Indonesia.

"He found a body at Tanjung Priok Port. Precisely at the loading and unloading terminal 01, the gender of a woman. In middle age, maybe around 50 years old," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Tanjung Priok Port Police, Iptu I Gusti Ngurah Putu Keishna Narayana, Wednesday, January 17.

Keishna revealed that in the findings, his party found a number of evidences in the form of victim's clothes, empty mineral water bottles and Rp. 5,000 in cash.

To determine the cause of death of the victim, the police conducted examinations of a number of witnesses ranging from opening containers, loading and unloading security guards and conteinary owners.

"Our search from the three people we examined, that since the end of December 2023 we have been in Jakarta," he said.

However, he admitted that he could not conclude further about the woman's death. Therefore, Keishna asked for time to conduct an investigation.

"We are still in the process of requesting data from the company that carries out this loading and unloading activity," he said.

Keishna revealed that the container was sent from Eastern Indonesia. However, to ensure it returns, it will carry out further investigations.

"Currently we are still in the process of collecting data, including the request for container manifests, there is indeed an initial submission of witnesses. To his knowledge, as a security party there, he conveyed that from the container track record it was indeed from the eastern region," he concluded.
