JAKARTA - The installation of campaign props (APK) that is installed does not match its placement is a public concern. In fact, many residents claim to feel disturbed by the APK.

As seen in the Tangerang City Public Crossing Bridge (JPU), there are many banners of legislative candidates (Caleg) to the presidential and vice-presidential candidate pairs plastered inappropriately.

Not only that, there are also banners and billboards that have been torn off, the garbage is scattered on the road. There is even an APK attached to trees and electric poles in the South Jakarta area with a size of 2 meters.

Rafi, one of the road users, admitted that he was very disturbed by the installation of tubers and APK tools on the side of the road. Rafi assessed that the APK is very dangerous if it falls and hits road users.

"It's very disturbing, mas. Especially the umbuls, they were actually was. Especially using bamboo and made on the side of the road. If we ride motorbikes, we are often on the left side of the road. Was it that the umbuls were tilted over us," said Rafi when met in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, Tuesday, January 15.

According to Rafi, the installation of the APK carelessly does not have aesthetic value, making the environment slum, dirty. It only disturbs and damages the scenery on the road or place filled with the APK.

"The candidates should be aware of themselves. How do you want to choose if you just violate the campaign. It's funny. They should know which rules are allowed, and they shouldn't install the APK. That's why sometimes they confuse them, they haven't been elected, but they are already suspects who destroy trees," he said.

Bella said the same thing, one of the motorcyclists. According to Bella, the placement of the APK should have obtained permission from the local RT and RW. So that it does not place the APK in any place and does not damage the environment.

"In my opinion, it's really annoying to get to the trees. The front gates are complex, blocking. You should get a local RT or RW permit. Sometimes it's like garbage," Bella said.

"Actually we already know, it's important too. But this interferes with urban spatial planning. It becomes slum. On some sidewalks it disturbs," he continued.

He hopes that the relevant parties, namely Bawaslu, will remove the APB which violates the regulations. So as not to harm road users.

"The disordered APK should be removed immediately. The officers must routinely monitor it," he said.

The 2024 General Election Campaign has been running. Election participants are aggressively campaigning in various ways. One of them is installing APKs such as billboards, banners and so on.

In the APK, it is usually written the name of the Candidate, the Vice Presidential Candidate, the party symbol, and even the tagline made to lure road users.
