JABAR - Acting Mayor (Pj) of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono, checked the sorting and folding ballots carried out at the Bandung City KPU logistics warehouse.

"Today I visited the logistics warehouse of the Bandung City KPU. So today's preparation until the 18th of the folding sort was carried out at the KPU warehouse and I am optimistic (it can be completed on time)," said Bambang in Bandung, Tuesday, January 16, quoted by Antara.

Bambang said that the sound-folding sorting stage was crucial. For this reason, he asked all officers to be careful and careful in order to avoid damaged ballots.

"I remind the sorting officers. Be careful. Don't let it be damaged. There should also be no defects because it causes irregularities during the election," he said.

He emphasized that all parties involved in elections, both from the organizers and the community, could work well together to create democratic and quality elections.

"We have prepared human resources including security to be further improved. Earlier I also asked the police chief from now on, because some have entered the logistics into the warehouse, don't let anything small make the defect happen," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Bandung City, Wenti Frihadianti, said that the sorting and multiplicating of ballots for the 2024 General Election involved 1,072 officers.

He added that the implementation of the folding sort includes ballots for presidential and vice presidential candidates, the DPR RI, the Provincial DPRD, the Bandung City DPRD and the DPD RI, each of which amounted to 1,913,569 pieces.

"The sorting and multiplicating of ballots will take place today from January 8 to 18, 2024," he said.

Regarding the finding of a damaged ballot, he said that his party would first coordinate with the West Java KPU to collect data and report the findings of ballots that were declared damaged.

"We are still looking at the technical instructions themselves. Well, if the conditions of the documents are still good, for example there is only an ink point or what it is, we will continue to report it," he said.
