Goodbye From PDIP, Maruarar: Thank You Mrs. Mega

JAKARTA - Senior politician Maruarar Sirait or who is familiarly called Ara officially said goodbye from the PDI-P (PDIP). He also thanked Megawati Soekarnoputri.

Ara declared his resignation after meeting directly with the Deputy General Treasurer of the PDIP DPP, Rudianto Tjen and the Deputy Secretary General of the PDIP, Utut Adianto at the PDIP DPP Office, Jalan Diponegoro, Menteng, Jakarta, Monday 15 January

"After I prayed and discussed with the closest people, my closest friends, I decided to say goodbye to the PDIP today," said Ara.

Not to forget Ara expressed his gratitude to the Chairperson of the PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri and Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto. Moreover, Megawati has allowed herself to work with PDIP.

"I thank Mrs. Mega, Mr. Hasto and the party ranks for allowing me to serve through PDIP," said Ara.

Ara prays that PDIP will remain a big party and continue to fight for the values of Pancasila. He prayed that PDIP would continue to get the best cadres for the nation and state.

"I pray that PDIP will remain a big party, fight for Pancasila, fight for the truth, fight for justice," concluded Ara.

Ara joined the PDIP since 1999 and was a member of the DPR for the period 2004-2009, then for the period 2009-2014, and 2014-2019.

He has also been the Treasurer of the West Java PDIP DPD and the Chair of the PDIP DPP for the period 2005-2010 and 2010-2015. Finally, Ara served as Chair of the Red and White Taruna (TMP), the PDIP wing organization.
