JAKARTA - The Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning (PKP) admits that the distribution of home ownership loans (KPR) liquidity facilities for housing financing (FLPP) throughout 2026 still faces challenges.
Minister of PKP Maruarar Sirait (Ara) revealed that as of July 16, 2026, the realization of new subsidized mortgages reached 102,900 units, while the government targets that this year's distribution is able to surpass the 2025 achievement which reached more than 278,000 units.
Ara said that entering the middle of the year, BP Tapera must accelerate distribution so as not to lag behind the achievements of the previous year.
"As of today, (distribution of KPR FLPP) 102,900 units. This is July. So, BP Tapera has a tough challenge to be able to surpass last year," said Ara in his remarks at the inauguration of BP Tapera's new office at Graha Mandiri, Jakarta, Thursday, July 16.
He said, the FLPP program has been running since 2010. Until 2023, the highest disbursement realization was recorded at around 229,000 units, before jumping to more than 278,000 units in 2025.
"Until 2023, the largest (distribution) is 229,000 (units) through the FLPP scheme. Only one year after President Prabowo took office, he was able to make a leap from 229,000 (units) in 2023 to 278,000 (units) in 2025," he said.
To pursue this achievement, the government will hold another Tapera Committee meeting on July 23, 2026 to evaluate the readiness of BP Tapera in accelerating the distribution of subsidized houses.
"If you are not ready, we have met and will meet again next week. I ask that it be prepared. I see the office is good, so I hope it will perform better," said Ara.
He also asked all BP Tapera cadres to work harder and continue to make breakthroughs without neglecting good governance.
"This is not the time for us to relax. This is the time to work hard, make breakthroughs in accordance with governance," he explained.
Furthermore, Ara assessed that the relocation of the BP Tapera office should be a momentum to increase professionalism, integrity and the quality of service to the community.
The reason is, he continued, BP Tapera holds a strategic role in supporting the 3 Million House Program through the management and distribution of FLPP funds.
Therefore, the institution is expected to be more credible with transparent, accountable governance and able to strengthen collaboration with all stakeholders.
Meanwhile, BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho said that the relocation of the office was not merely a change in work location, but was part of a strategy to strengthen organizational performance and improve the quality of services to the public and business partners.
"We want to ensure that every process of distributing housing financing is faster, more transparent, and provides wider benefits for low-income people," he explained.
