The Salaries Of ASN Kaltara Provincial Government Increase By 8 Percent

TANJUNG SELOR - The Salaries of Civil Servants (PNS) of the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) rose 8 percent or around Rp. 300 thousand.

Head of the Regional Finance and Assets Agency (BKAD) of Kaltara Province, Denny Harianto, explained that the increase in salaries of the state civil servants (ASN) had been included in the Kaltara Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).

"This was also conveyed by the President in a state speech regarding the plan to increase the salaries of ASN, TNI, and Polri by 8 percent in 2023, as well as 12 percent for an increase in pension salary," said Denny, Monday, January 15.

Denny said the ASN salary increase in North Kalimantan Province had been calculated and budgeted first.

"For now, we are still waiting for the Minister of Finance Regulation (Permenkeu), the amount of the increase in salary itself will vary depending on the position of each civil servant. The average increase in salaries and allowances

"The ASN given is around Rp. 300,000 per month," said Denny.

He explained that in 2023, the burden of the Kaltara APBD regarding ASN salaries reached Rp. 21 billion to Rp. 22 billion each month with a total of around 4,000 employees.

"In 2024, the burden of the APBD will increase by Rp. 1 billion, from Rp. 22 billion to Rp. 23 billion per month," said Denny.

The Kaltara Provincial Government hopes that the significant increase in ASN salaries can improve the welfare of civil servants in Kaltara Province.

"In addition to performance, civil servants can provide the best for the community. In addition, this salary increase can have a positive impact on the local and national economy. This is because the purchasing power of ASN has increased," he concluded.
