PURWOKERTO - Public Relations Manager of PT Kereta Api Indonesia Operational Area 5 Purwokerto Feni Novida Saragih said the trip of a number of trafficways south of Java was delayed due to the 75A Pandalungan train of Gambir-Surabaya-Jember connection dropping at Tanggulangin Station, Sidoarjo, East Java.

"A number of trafficways south of Java are predicted to experience delays upon arrival at the destination station including stations in the KAI Purwokerto area," Feni said in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, quoted by ANTARA Sunday, January 14.

He said several trains that were predicted to experience delays included KA 115 Ranggajati Jember-Surabayabeng-Purwokerto-Cirebon and KA 211 Logawa Jember-Surabayagubeng-Purwokerto relations.

According to him, until now there is still evacuation and normalization of the railway line at the Tanggulangin Station assembly, so that the route at the scene of the incident cannot be traversed by the train for a while.

"The route that was disrupted due to this incident was the route from Surabaya to Malang and Surabaya to Jember," he said.

Therefore, he said, KAI changed the pattern of train operations from Bangil crossing through Malang and Kertosono and vice versa.

According to him, KAI tried to immediately evacuate a series of trains and immediately repair the rail line at the scene.

"On behalf of PT KAI (Persero), we apologize for the disruption of train travel services due to the incident of the 75A Pandalungan train, Gambir-Surabaya-Jember relation, which fell in the empillage of Tanggulangin Station, Sidoarjo Regency, Sunday (14/1), at 07.57 WIB," said Feni.
