Anies EMPHASIZED That The Presidential Election Is Not Just A New President, It Needs Change

Presidential Candidate Anies Baswedan said the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) was not just choosing a new president, but to change policies that prospered the people.

"So that Indonesia is just and prosperous for all," said Anies in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, January 11.

According to Anies, the 2024 presidential election is not just a event to change the president, but rather an effort to refresh steps and determine policies to the public.

Various current conditions, especially in East Kalimantan, said Anies, have made the idea of changing the 2024 presidential election a necessity.

"Looking for work is getting more difficult. Is it true or not? How about we continue? Do you want it to be continued? The price of basic necessities continues. How about we continue?" asked Anies while campaigning in Samarinda, East Kalimantan.

Anies' statement was immediately greeted with the screams of sympathizers, "Don't want to continue!"

Anies said East Kalimantan had a lot of natural wealth, but the people of East Kalimantan did not feel the wealth.

"Samarinda, East Kalimantan, the nature is rich, but the residents don't get anything. Want to continue? What needs? Need change," Anies said, greeted by thousands of people with the word change.
