The KPK Council Calls Alexander Marwata And Nurul Ghufron To Be Reported Allegations Of Ethical Violations Related To The Ministry Of Agriculture Case

JAKARTA - Member of the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Albertina Ho revealed that Alexander Marwata and Nurul Ghufron were leaders who were complained of violating ethics related to corruption cases at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan). The clarification process is currently underway.

"There are two (who were reported to the KPK Council, ed). NG and AM," Albertina told reporters at the ACLC KPK building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 11.

Albertina asked the public not to conclude immediately. Evidence still needs to be done, especially since this complaint was just received by the KPK Council.

"This is just a complaint. Just clarification is not necessarily true, right," he said.

Even so, Albertina said the two leaders were reported for alleged conflicts of interest.

The reported one used his influence, said the former judge.

This complaint, continued Albertina, is indeed related to a corruption case at the Ministry of Agriculture. However, he said it had nothing to do with the corruption case that ensnared former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo. The complaint is also not the same.

"It's still within the scope of the Ministry of Agriculture," he said.

As previously reported, Alexander Marwata has spoken about the alleged ethical violation committed by two leaders of the anti-corruption commission regarding the investigation of the case at the Ministry of Agriculture. He said he did not want to bother and did not know about the process.

"I don't know, yes, just ask the Council," he told reporters at the ACLC KPK Building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 11.

Alexander even joked about the report. "Maybe I (was reported, ed). I think so," he said.
