Jusuf Kalla Claims The Spirit Of Support To Anies-Cak Imin Is High Even In The Midst Of Limitations

JAKARTA - The 10th and 12th Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla (JK) assessed that supporters of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 1 Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) wanted to fight despite limitations. JK said the candidate pair for the Change Coalition party did not have campaign props spread across the regions. However, he continued, the volunteers and sympathizers were still eager to provide support. "Don't have props spread, but the spirit of society is very high," said JK while accompanying the vice presidential campaign Muhaimin Iskandar in Surabaya, East Java, Antara, Wednesday, January 10. The vice president, who once accompanied President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and President Joko Widodo, admitted that he deliberately participated in Muhaimin's campaign because he wanted to see firsthand the conditions of support for the people of East Java for the AMIN pair. "Looking at the spirit, helping to encourage friends here," he added. Therefore, he also reminded the AMIN pair to campaign politely and convey ideas that can convince the public. The General Election Commission (KPU) has determined three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates to participate in the 2024 presidential election, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD number 3.

The KPU has also set a campaign period from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, then the voting schedule will be on February 14, 2024.
