Jusuf Kalla Says Being A Leader Must Be Not Emotional, Sindir Prabowo?

JAKARTA - The 10th and 12th Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla reminded that being a leader of the nation must have a calm and unemotional mind. It was not stated who JK was the leader in question. However, in the debate that took place last Sunday, January 7, Prabowo Subianto's presidential candidate expressed his emotions when Anies Baswedan mentioned the land ownership of 340 thousand hectares. JK, who has declared his support for the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 1 Anies-Muhaimin (AMIN), said leaders must have ideas and be calm in leading the Indonesian nation. "Because there are many problems with this nation, (then) you have to calm your mind, you have to make a good decision," said JK in a statement received in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, January 10. While accompanying vice presidential candidate Muhaimin Iskandar campaigning in Surabaya, East Java, Wednesday, JK reminded the pair of AMIN candidates to campaign well. According to JK, Anies and Muhaimin must explain ideas to convince the public that they are leaders who can be given the mandate. "Of course, it must give confidence to the public that this AMIN is indeed a trustworthy leader, trustworthy, and also intelligent for the progress of the nation," said JK. The General Election Commission (KPU) has determined three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates to participate in the 2024 presidential election, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD number 3.

The KPU has also set a campaign period from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, then the voting schedule will be on February 14, 2024.
