North Sumatra Police Arrest 2 Dealers Of 5 Thousand Ecstasy Pills

The Unit 2 Sub-Directorate III Team of the North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda) arrested two suspected drug dealers of 5,000 ecstasy pills.

"Yes, that's right, two people were arrested by a man with the initials H alias Ucok (40) and R (40), a resident of Medan Sunggal," said Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi in Medan, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 9.

The arrest began with information from the public that there was a circulation of ecstasy pills on Jalan Gagak Hitam, Medan Sunggal, Medan on January 6, 2024.

"Then the personnel went straight to the location to arrest the two perpetrators. At the crime scene (TKP) the two perpetrators fled during the raid," he said.

The results of the arrest, personnel found a brown box containing 5,000 ecstasy pills.

"From the results of the examination, the two perpetrators obtained evidence of an unknown man from a man with the initials A alias KEY. They have received the evidence twice," he said.

Currently, the team has identified the network and continues to hunt down other perpetrators.

Previously, the North Sumatra Police arrested men with the initials AS (47) and SB (40) residents of Asahan Regency who work as fishermen who are suspected drug dealers of 10 kilograms of methamphetamine.

In addition, he also arrested a man with the initials DE alias WIS (41), a resident of Tanjungbalai who is suspected of possessing 9 kilograms of methamphetamine and 20,000 ecstasy pills on December 28, 2023.

The North Sumatra Police continue to eradicate drugs, including taking action and carrying out rehabilitation which is one of the priority programs.
