JAKARTA - The police have named the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) with the initials AF as a suspect in the case of domestic violence (KDRT) against his wife, YA. AF has now been detained.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bekasi Metro Police, Kompol Muhammad Firdaus, said that AF had been detained since Saturday, January 6.

"Yes, that's right, the suspect has been detained. Since Saturday," said Firdaus when confirmed, Tuesday, January 9.

Firdaus explained that the suspect AF was detained because he had repeated his actions.

Because they meet objective and subjective requirements. First, the objective reason is the threat of imprisonment for 5 years. The subjective reason for the suspect to repeat his actions," he said.

"From this incident, his actions have been repeated from 2021 since it was reported. 2022 has also been repeated. 2023 has also been repeated. From this incident, investigators considered being detained," he added.

For his actions, AF was named a suspect and charged with Article 44 paragraph (1) subsidiary paragraph (4) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence (KDRT) with a penalty of 5 years in prison.
