The Body Of A 14-year-old Boy Who Disappeared In Lake WTP Cibitung Was Found At A Depth Of 7 Meters

JAKARTA - Zendo Rayan Pratama (14), a minor who was reported missing at the Danay WTP Cibitung, was found dead, Monday, January 8. The victim was found by joint SAR Team officers at a radius of 5 meters from the location where the victim drowned.

The victim's body was found after the SAR team conducted a search operation using the dive method.

"The victim was found at a depth of 7 meters and a radius of 5 meters from the scene. The victim's body has been evacuated to the funeral home," said Bekasi SAR Alert Unit Coordinator, Rizky Dwianto.

The search for victims was continued by the joint SAR team by dividing the search area into two.

"The first team carried out search efforts by sweeping using rubber boats and carrying out the dive process up to a radius of 10 meters from the scene," he said.

The second team conducted a search by combing the land route along the lips of the lake up to a radius of 100 meters from the scene.

Previously, it was reported that a boy named Zendo Rayan Pratama (14) drowned while swimming in the Lake WTP (Water Treatment Plant) Metland Cibitung, Bekasi Regency, West Java.

As of Monday, January 8, the victim had not been found since drowning on Sunday, January 7, although a search had been carried out by the SAR team.

According to information gathered, the incident began at around 11.00 WIB. That afternoon, the victim was swimming with his friends in the lake area.

His colleague had time to help the victim. But unfortunately, the victim's colleague was unable to reach the victim until he was still being searched by officers.
