Vice President Expects Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Organization To Become A Civilization Center In Purwokerto

JATENG - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin hopes that the Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah organization can build a civilization center in Purwokerto, Central Java Province (Central Java), for the benefit of the people.

"I appreciate Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah in the field of education very prominent. I think the key to building human resources is education, the quality of education must continue to be improved and encouraged," said the Vice President when receiving the presence of PP Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Chairman Faisol Nasar bin Madi and his staff at the Vice President's Official Residence, Jalan Diponegoro Number 2, Jakarta, Monday, January 8, confiscated by Antara.

The Vice President also said that in ancient times the center of civilization was built in the form of a sultanate or kingdom in which there was economic empowerment for the benefit of the people.

On this occasion, the Vice President also explained the importance of the joint movement of Islamic organizations in an effort to improve the benefit of the people.

"A movement that is of the same nature, now under the Indonesian Ulema Council. There is a movement of each organization and some must be together, when it is built together, it will revive the community," he said.

He gave an example, the Islamic economy, which used to be a new flow of economy in Indonesia, is now rooted in people's daily lives because it is continuous and echoed massively.

On the same occasion, General Chairperson of PP Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Faisol Nasar said that the organization he leads is an Islamic mass organization that remains at the foot of scientific principles, and ukhuwah Islamiyah and is far from practical politics.

Jam'iyat Al-Islah Wal Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah was founded on September 6, 1914, referring to the establishment of the first Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Madrasah, in Jakarta.

On August 11, 1915, the Dutch colonial government issued its legal recognition. The central figure for the establishment of Al-Irsyad is Al-'Alamah Syeikh Ahmad Surkati Al-Anshori, a great scholar of Mecca who is from Sudan.

Al-Irsyad is an association with Islamiyyah in providing services to the community, in the fields of education, teaching, as well as social and national graded da'wah.

Al-Irsyad actively went directly to the community, including through the Amil Zakat Institute, providing assistance to victims of the Cianjur and Lombok earthquakes.

Then through the female Executive Board (PB), Al-Irsyad actively provides guidance in a number of correctional institutions, stunting prevention activities, and Early Childhood Education (PAUD).
