JAKARTA - An ASN Dishub DKI Jakarta initials RT (57) has officially become a suspect in sexual abuse of minors. Deputy Head of Central Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Anton, Monday, January 8, explained that RT became a suspect after an examination and there was strong evidence.

"So this suspect is ASN Dishub DKI. The ASN suspect and the victim already know each other and are neighbors. We have already detained the results of the examination and post-mortem and this is still under development," said Deputy Head of Central Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Anton accompanied by Kasat to reporters, Monday, January 8.

The incident began when the victim came to RT's house to ask to be taken to school. However, RT actually took advantage of the moment for bad things.

"When he went to the suspect's house, the suspect molested the victim. The suspect pulled the victim into his room at his house, then kissed and felt his genitals," said the Deputy Chief of the Central Jakarta Police.

This case was revealed when the victim's parents received a report of complaints of pain when the victim urinated. After being asked by the victim's parents, the victim of AAP also told her mother about the incident.

"Some time ago around December 2023, we received a report from residents that one of his daughters was molested by someone in the Kemayoran area. Then we conducted an investigation and arrested the suspect," he said.

Then the RT perpetrator was arrested at his home on Thursday night, January 4. Then the perpetrator was secured to the Central Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters for further investigation.

"The victim and the suspect have known him for 1 year, since the 5th grade elementary school victim. Currently, the victim is in 6th grade. The suspect has committed sexual abuse several times," he added.

Until now, the Central Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim is still developing the case. Police are still looking for other victims who have not reported.

"We are still investigating whether there were other victims committed by the suspect," he said.

As a result of his actions, the suspect RT, who was the perpetrator of sexual abuse, was charged with Article 81 in conjunction with Article 78b of UURI No. 17 of 2016 of the Child Protection Law. The suspect is threatened with imprisonment for a maximum of 15 years.
