Bengkulu Police Chief Threatens To Fire His Subordinates Not Neutral In The 2024 Election

BENGKULU - Bengkulu Regional Police Chief (Polda) Inspector General Pol Armed Wijaya emphasized that if a police officer is caught non-neutral during the implementation of the 2024 General Election, he will be fired or dishonorably dismissed or PTDH. "I have also emphasized that all Bengkulu Police personnel must be neutral and not side by side with any of the pairs, both president, regional head, and legislature," he said in Bengkulu City, Friday. On the other hand, the Bengkulu City General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) emphasized that employees who receive wages from the central government and local governments are prohibited from participating in practical politics.

Selain ASN, pegawai yang menerima upah dari pemerintah termasuk PPPK, honorer, ketua RT dan RW tidak diperbolehkan untuk ikut berpolitik," ujar Ketua Bawaslu Kota Bengkulu Rahmat Hidayat.Jika ada ASN ataupun pegawai penerima upah dari pemerintah melakukan politik praktis akan dilaporkan ke Komisi Aparatur Sipil Negara (KASN).Dengan sanksi ataupun hukuman paling berat yaitu pemecatan, penurunan pangkat dan tidak dapat naik pangkat.Oleh karena itu, Bawaslu Kota Bengkulu terus mendorong dan memberikan imbauan kepada seluruh ASN di Kota Bengkulu untuk tidak terlibat berpolitik praktis, apapun bentuknya.
