Bukan Putusan, TKN Tegaskan Surat Bawaslu Jakpus Soal Gibran Hanya Rekomendasi

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Habiburokhman, said that the letter issued by the Central Jakarta Bawaslu regarding the summoning of the vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka was not a decision, but only a recommendation.

Gibran previously complied with the Central Jakarta Bawaslu summons regarding the problem of distributing milk in the CFD area which allegedly violated DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 12 of 2016.

"We need to convey that this letter is not a decision. No product of the Central Jakarta Bawaslu decision today has been launched. This is only a recommendation from the Central Jakarta Bawaslu regarding the activities of Gibran Rakabuming Raka on December 3, 2023, which is suspected to be a violation of other regulations that are not a violation of the Election Law," Habiburokhman said at a press conference at the TKN Prabowo-Gibran Media Center, Jakarta, Thursday, November 4.

Habiburokhman said in the document there was no statement that Gibran had committed a violation. According to him, the Central Jakarta Bawaslu is also not authorized to decide that Gibran violates the governor's regulation.

"In this letter, Gibran Rakabuming Raka is also declared guilty, committed violations. Nothing. Second, the Central Jakarta City Bawaslu, did not decide, and also could not decide, had the authority to decide that Gibran Rakabuming Raka violated Article 7 of Governor Regulation Number 12 of 2016. Because it is not the authority of the institution," said Habiburokhman.

This Gerindra politician emphasized that Gibran's activities during the CFD (motorized vehicle free day) on December 3, 2023, did not violate the rules. Because, according to him, these activities are not activities of political parties.

"In fact, Gibran Rakabuming Raka's activities at the HKB on December 3, 2023 are not the activities of political parties. And thus do not violate the provisions of Article 7 of the Governor Regulation Number 12 of 2016," explained Habiburokhman.
