150 Motorcycles With Brong Exhausts In Batang, Central Java, Sanctioned With Tickets

JATENG - The Batang Resort Police (Polres) has arrested 150 motorcyclists with Brong exhausts. Violators are sanctioned for violations or ticketing.

Head of the Traffic Unit (Kasatlantas) of the Batang Police, AKP Wigiyadi, said that this action was carried out during the three-day operation.

"We will continue to intensify operating activities so that the Batang Regency area 'zero' motorcyclists using Brong exhausts," he said in Batang, Central Java (Central Java), Thursday, January 4, was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the ticketing was given based on the Traffic Law Number 22 of 2008 Article 285 Paragraph 1.

According to him, his party has taken preventive measures such as conducting socialization and education to the public so that they can maintain order and discipline traffic on the highway.

Disciplined traffic on the highway, he continued, in addition to being able to maintain personal safety as well as other motorists.

"Therefore, we assess that the use of Brong exhaust in addition to disturbing public order and comfort also violates traffic regulations," he said.

Wigiyadi said motorcyclists who do not meet technical and roadworthy requirements such as Brong exhaust can be subject to Article 285 (1) of Law Number 22 of 2008 with a penalty of 1 month in prison and a maximum fine of IDR 250 thousand.

"We will take firm action against motorcyclists with brong exhausts. Therefore, we urge motorcyclists to use standard exhausts," he said.
