JAKARTA Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury may not be a duel against Anthony Joshua and decided to hang up his boxing sarong or retire.

This was required by his promoter, Frank Warren, through his column on the Daily Star. In the article, he asserted that he would not force Fury to duel with Joshua.

"I'm not going to pick up the phone and ask Tyson Fury to fight again," Frank wrote as reported by The Sun.

After the defeat against Oleksandr Usyk, Fury was immediately rumored to be back in the ring against compatriot Anthony Joshua. This duel will determine who is the best in England.

Anthony Joshua is open ready to enter the ring for the duel titled Battle of Britain. He emphasized that the fight must be held this year.

Frank said that at this time he had not spoken to Fury about the fight. He insisted that if he wanted a duel, Fury had to deliver it directly to him.

"If any chance comes to him then that opportunity won't hurt me. However, I will not advise whether Tyson should take it or not."

"I haven't spoken to him about the fight against Anthony Joshua. I'll just talk if he comes to me and says he wants to play with Joshua in the ring," he said.

The defeat against Usyk in a rematch in December 2024 saw Fury's career near its end. However, the boxer is said to have no intention of retiring.

Warren said he would support any decision Fury made regarding his future in boxing. He hopes Fury can be happy with his own decisions

"My only hope is for Tyson to be happy and satisfied with his life. If he is right, then I will be more proud than you can imagine," he said.
