CIAMIS - presidential candidate number 1 Anies Rasyid Baswedan admitted that he prioritized direct dialogue with the public rather than putting up campaign props (APK) excessively, in order to win the people's votes in the 2024 presidential election.

Anies said this was to respond to the number of billboards and banners or APK participating in the 2024 General Election which were installed excessively in the regions.

"We toured, we had a dialogue, and we wanted to respect the Indonesian people. How to respect it with what? By giving them the opportunity to ask questions," Aniesusai said campaigning in Ciamis as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, January 4.

According to him, the campaign by installing theAPK excessively was no longer effective in garnering votes amid the current advances in information technology.

The former Chancellor of Paramadina University explained that currently the people can find out for themselves about the track record of candidates or election participants.

Therefore, what Anies prioritizes winning the 2024 presidential election is to have a direct dialogue so that the public knows how their candidate leaders can take policies related to the benefit of the community.

"I chose to attend Anies' Desak event because residents can ask anything, so that they can judge and feel respected. So the candidate (president) is not just giving photos and videos, but also ready to have a dialogue with the people," said Anies.
