East Java Police Name 3 Prabowo Volunteer Shooting Suspects In Sampang

The East Java Regional Police have named three people as suspects in the Murah shooting case (48), a community leader in Sampang Regency who is also a Prabowo-Gibran volunteer.

"Three people who have been named as suspects, one of them is the village head," said Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police, Kombes Dirmanto, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 3.

After naming three people as suspects, the police conducted searches in two houses and one warehouse for the suspects was led directly by the Director of Criminal Investigation of the East Java Police, Kombes Totok Suharyanto.

"One house that we searched today is the house of the village head," said Dirmanto.

As for the roles of the perpetrators and motives, the police said they were still in the process of being investigated.

"We are still waiting for the results of the next examination after everything will be released," he said.

Dirmanto said that after conducting a search, several pieces of evidence were secured, including sharp weapons, cell phones and several other pieces of evidence.

Meanwhile, the firearms used by the suspect to carry out the shooting are still in the process of being investigated by the forensic laboratory team.

"The relationship between the three suspects is still under investigation," he said.

Dirmanto reiterated that from the results of the examination, there were no political motives and had nothing to do with politics.

"We reiterated that from the results of the investigation, this shooting incident did not find any political motives and had nothing to do with politics," he said.

Previously, a community leader in Banyuates District, Sampang Regency, named Murah (48), was the victim of an unknown person shooting.

Murah was shot while having coffee with his friends in front of the shop on Friday, December 22, 2023 at around 09.30 WIB.

The direction was shot twice until it fell. After carrying out the action, the perpetrators with a thick black shirt equipped with a face covering immediately fled on a motorbike.

Now the Prabowo-Gibran presidential/cawapres volunteer is still undergoing intensive treatment at Dr Soetomo Hospital in Surabaya.
