JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the National Winning Team (TPN) Chico Hakim explained the Ganjar-Mahfud program on Gastronomi, as an effort to boost nutritional quality, improve the quality of human resources (HR), and drive the national economy.

Chico emphasized that the gastronomi program is a counter idea from the free lunch and milk program, which the Prabowo-Gibran pair carries.

He said, free lunch programs tend to uniform the source of nutrition in milk and eggs. In fact, nutritious food components can be obtained not only from milk, but also from various local foods.

"There have been many studies, showing eggs is more nutritious than milk. When it comes to intolerant lactose or the inability to completely digest sugar (lathosa) in dairy products, almost 70 percent of Asians have intolerant lactose," Chico explained as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 2.

Mahfud's gastronomi is a form of local wisdom in food raw materials, to be mixed into food. Thus, the Ganjar-Mahfud pair wants to avoid food uniformity under the pretext of fulfilling nutrition. Because, it has the potential to increase dependence on imports, because it makes the need for one nutritious food commodity high.

"Don't let imports be raised in the name of fulfilling nutrition," he said.

Gastronomi will make nutritional intake diverse. This is adjusted to the potential of various foods in the community. Later, he said, the government will help local foods move up to a higher level to become more nutritious.

"If we talk about free lunch, should rice be given to Papuans three times a day?" he said.

TPN hopes that the government's program will not change people's lifestyle. Meanwhile, this lifestyle does not mean that the food he supports is not nutritious. In fact, he said, many types of food from local raw materials are equivalent to imported milk.
