Immediately Replanted, DKI Provincial Government Doesn't Care About Damaged Plants At The HI Roundabout After The New Year

JAKARTA - A number of officers from the DKI Jakarta City Parks and Forests Service (Distamhut) carried out replanting plants in the HI Roundabout area as well as along Jalan Sudirman to MH Thamrin. Repairs to this park were carried out due to damage to plants that were trampled by people celebrating New Year's Eve on December 31, 2023 to January 1, 2024 in the area. "Alhamdulillah, it is safe. Starting yesterday, repairs were being carried out, especially on the median roads and safeities," said Head of DKI Jakarta Distamhut Bayu Meghantara in a short message, Tuesday, January 2. Bayu admitted that he did not care about the damage to plants at the center of the 2024 New Year's Eve celebration held by the DKI Provincial Government. Bearing in mind, the DKI Provincial Government has prepared new plants brought from the Distamhut seed plantation. So, there is no need to replant the seeds in the HI Roundabout area and Sudirman-Thamrin. "The plants have been prepared from our seed plantations. Now the land is still being maturated by 50 joint officers from the Central Jakarta service and the Central Jakarta service tribe," explained Bayu. From this condition, Bayu appealed to the public to pay more attention to the sustainability of plants as one of the living things. "Let's take care of our nature together. God willing, nature will also take care of us," he explained. For information, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government held the Young Night of Homecoming Jakarta Global on New Year's Eve 2024 with a series of events ranging from Jakarnaval, music stage, video screening to drone shows (drone appearance). The Mudi Young Night event was filled with six activities, namely Gemilang Silang Monas, Jakarnaval, Main Stage of HI Roundabout, Kirana Jakarta, Jalan MH Thamrin Stage and Jalan Jenderal Sudirman Stage. In the first segment Gemilang Silang Monas will display video screenings, dancing fountains, entertainment and so on. This year's Jakarnaval theme is "Indonesian Legend Intellectual Property" (IP) based character or intellectual property-based character from the works of the nation's children. Jakarnaval displays a variety of ornamental cars with attractive lights and decorations made by the nation's children such as Sri Asih, Si Juki, Si Unyil, Si Blind from Hantu Cave and Satria Dewa Gatotkaca. Furthermore, along Jalan MH Thamrin such as in the Sarinah area and the HI Roundabout. Various interesting entertainment in Sarinah displays entertainment, acoustic stage, and sculptured human artwork.

Then when 2023 officially changed to 2024, the New Year celebration was centered at the HI Roundabout with fireworks eruptions, water screen appearance at the fountain, and 500 drones in the sky.
