Gus Miftah Clarifies Video Of Sharing Money When Invited By Hajj Her In Pamekasan, Banks Prabowo TKN Member

JAKARTA - The famous cleric Miftah Maulana Habiburrohman or Gus Miftah clarified the video, which shows that they are distributing money in Pamekasan, Madura.

"It was my event in Pamekasan at the invitation of Haji Her, a tobacco entrepreneur in Pamekasan," he said in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Friday, December 29.

Gus Miftah revealed that Haji Her has a habit of alms every day. Even Haji Her built a simple house for the poor with more than 1,000 units.

"Incidentally, I got an invitation to coincide with the schedule for distributing money. I was asked to share money, when I refused, at least I got the reward, I shared it," he explained.

Gus Miftah emphasized that the distribution of money is purely alms and has nothing to do with anything, let alone politics ahead of the 2024 presidential election (Pilpres).

The message was conveyed by Gus Miftah in response to a video clip, in which Gus Miftah distributed money to the public viral on social media. In the video, someone behind Gus Miftah shows Prabowo Subianto's shirt.

"Some people ask, there is Prabowo's t-shirt, please take a video and bring a t-shirt," he said.

In addition, Gus Miftah also clarified that he was not part of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN).

"I clarify, I am not a TKN, not a campaign team, I am not written as a TKN," he asserted.
