JAKARTA - The Central Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) board responded positively to the presence of Presidential Candidate (Capres) Number 2, Prabowo Subianto, which is scheduled to convey its vision, mission, and flagship programs at the Central PWI Office on Thursday, January 4, 2024. This presence was confirmed through a letter from the National Campaign Team (TKN) Prabowo-Gibran to the Central PWI. Previously, the Central PWI and PWI Province experienced disappointment because Prabowo Subianto could not attend on the previously scheduled date, namely Friday, December 29, 2023. Nevertheless, PWI has prepared all technical aspects for the event. Other presidential candidates, such as Ganjar Pranowo (Urut 3 Number) and Anies Baswedan (Urut Number 1), were present earlier on November 30, 2023 and December 1, 2023. In their visit, Ganjar and Anies conveyed comprehensively their vision, mission, and superior programs to PWI and national media, with the participation of 39 Provincial Chairs who followed through zoom. As part of preparations for the National Press Day (HPN) on February 9, 2024, PWI invited three Presidential Candidates in the range from November 28 to December 10, 2023 to convey their vision and mission. PWI, as the oldest and largest journalist organization in the country, with more than 20,000 members spread across 38 provinces and special branches of Solo, would like to make this pre-HPN event a form of media contribution as the fourth pillar of democracy. With the presence of three presidential candidates in PWI, it is hoped that they can convey complete vision and mission to dozens of journalists who cover directly or via zoom from various regions. This also provides benefits for Presidential Candidates, because of vision, mission, and their flagship programs will be informed to the wider community through the media. "Only beyond the specified time limit, we are pleased that the Prabowo Subianto Presidential Can finally attend on January 4, 2024, so that they can meet and have direct dialogue with journalists in Jakarta as well as in the regions online," said Hendry Ch Bangun, the General Chair of the Central PWI, on Friday 29 December. PWI hopes that communication with TKN Prabowo-

This Road To HPN event has a format where the Presidential Candidate will answer secret questions in the first 15 minutes related to strengthening democratic values, good governance, and commitment to eradicating corruption and nepotism.
