Mahfud MD Invites Santri Al Khoziny To Be Honest And Not Tamak

SIDOARJO - Vice Presidential Candidate Mahfud MD invites students at Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School, Siwalan Panji, Buduran District, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java to be honest, brave and not greedy to achieve success.

"Because greed will lead to bad traits. Corruption people arise from greed, feeling less and constantly, never being grateful," Mahfud said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, December 28.

He gave an example, officials actually have enough salaries, cars are provided, houses have them. But because he is greedy so he feels that it is not enough.

Mahfud also taught students to be honest because if in every action and speech they are always honest then their lives will be calm and will not be held hostage by others.

"For example, if you don't come with me, then I will imprison you. Those are people held hostage by other people. His life will also not be calm," he said.

In addition, Mahfud also shared his life experience which has the principle of courage and honesty and hard work.

As a child, Mahfud aspired to become a religious teacher, then he received a scholarship to study at the Islamic University of Indonesia in Yogyakarta.

"From there all the ideals were achieved, starting to become lecturers, judges, DPR and ministers. The point is that students must work hard, be enthusiastic about learning, be brave and honest," he said.

After visiting the caretaker of Al Khoziny's boarding school, Mahfud Md is scheduled to visit Miftahul Ulum, Jatiroto, Lumajang Regency and Nurul Qornain's boarding school, Jember.
