Jokowi Wants Road Infrastructure In Kebupaten Throughout Indonesia Like In Talaud, North Sulawesi

NORTH SULAWESI - President Joko Widodo wants district road infrastructure throughout Indonesia to be as good as in Talaud Regency, North Sulawesi (Sulut).

This was conveyed by Jokowi after inaugurating the Operation of the 4G Bakti BTS Signal and Satria-1 Satellite Integration in Talaud Islands Regency, North Sulawesi, Thursday, December 28.

"I think if all regencies, all cities run like this well, I think it will facilitate logistics affairs, inter-district connectivity, inter-districts, I think it will be very good," Jokowi said in a written statement via Antara.

Presiden menyampaikan sejak tahun 2015 sampai 2023, anggaran sebesar Rp1,13 triliun, telah diberikan ke Kabupaten Talaud, untuk urusan infrastruktur jalan yang menyangkut kurang lebih 199 km jalan.

"It is done, repaired, paved, previously dirt, and there is already something that needs to be repaired again. Earlier I have ordered that the Ministry of Public Works is also next year so that it can be smoothed again," he said.

He said Talaud Regency is one of the leading and outermost regions in Indonesia, which borders Davao, Philippines.
