Fire In Puskoskos Halim Kiosk Due To Explosion Of LPG Gas Cylinders, 1 Resident Experienced Burns

The fire that hit 13 kiosks and 1 prayer room belonging to the Indonesian Air Force Puskopau in the Squadron Complex, Mustang Street, RT 06/04, Halim Perdanakusuma area, Makasar District, East Jakarta was caused by an explosion of LPG gas cylinders.

"The cause of the LPG gas cylinder," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, December 28.

At least 13 stalls were burned down. Losses are estimated at IDR 450 million due to the fire.

"According to eyewitness testimony, while cooking there was a leak in the LPG gas cylinder which resulted in an explosion and lighting of fire," he said.

As a result of the fire, one victim suffered burns. The victim is known as Yati (40).

"There were about five percent of the victims burned, one person. A total of 54 people were saved," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a number of kiosks belonging to Puskopau TNI AU located in the Squadron Complex, Mustang Street, RT 06/04, Halim Perdanakusuma area, Makasar District, East Jakarta, caught fire on Thursday, December 28, afternoon.
