Mahfud Asks For The Prabowo Volunteer Shooting Case In Sampang To Be Completely Investigated

SUKABUMI - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD asked for the case of volunteer pair number 2 Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka who was the victim of the shooting of an unknown person (OTK) in Sampang, Java Tiimur, to be thoroughly investigated.

"Yes, it must be resolved, it must be resolved so that there is no slander that the perpetrator is from a certain political group. It must be opened clearly," Mahfud said in Sukabumi as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 27.

The former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court also asked the police to work professionally in handling the case.

"The police must be professional in opening up who this person is," he said.

According to Mahfud, case settlements are still needed even though there are rumors that the victim has a track record of having been imprisoned.

"According to information I heard, this person has also been imprisoned because he often goes anywhere with information that I hear," said Mahfud.

Previously, a community leader in Banyuates District, Sampang Regency, East Java, named Murah (48), was the victim of a shooting by OTK.

Murah was shot while having coffee with his friends in front of the shop, Friday (22/12) at around 09.30 WIB.

The direction was shot twice until it fell. After carrying out the action, the perpetrator, dressed in a black shirt, equipped with a face covering, immediately fled driving an NMax.

Now the Prabowo-Gibran volunteer is still undergoing intensive treatment at the Soetomo Hospital, Surabaya, East Java.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Dirmanto, said that as of Tuesday (26/12) his party had examined 11 witnesses related to the Murah shooting incident.

"Until now, 11 people have been examined as witnesses," said Dirmanto in Surabaya, East Java, Tuesday (26/12).

Until now, a special team from Jatanras Ditreskrimum and seven East Java Police Labfor officers together with members of the Sampang Resort Police are working hard to investigate to uncover this shooting case.

"Ask for prayers, hopefully this case will be revealed soon," he said.

Dirmanto emphasized that this shooting case was not related to politics even though the victim was a volunteer candidate pair number 2.
