Visiting The Cathedral Church, Deputy Minister Of Religion Affirms Nomenclature Isa Al Will Still Be Replaced By Jesus Christ In The National Calendar

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia Saiful Rahmat Dasuki while visiting the Christmas Mass at the Jakarta Cathedral Church, confirmed that he would change the nomenclature of Jesus Christ in the National Calendar.

"Yesterday with the Minister of PMK, and the Minister of PAN RB and the Minister of Manpower, we have agreed to change the Nomenclature said Isa Al-Still to Jesus Christ," said Saiful at the Cathedral Church, Central Jakarta, Sunday, December 24.

Saiful said that according to him, the change in nomenclature was part of the government's efforts to maintain diversity and respect the beliefs that are believed to be religious people.

For this reason, the government, especially the Ministry of Religion, will facilitate all religions throughout Indonesia.

"The Ministry of Religion is determined that we are the Ministry for all religions, we do not provide special services but how these religious values become the basis for all of us to live life on earth," he said.

Saiful together with the National Police Chief and also other Ministers also added that Indonesia was born from diversity and was born from various ethnic groups and religions.

As previously reported, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) Muhadjir Effendy together with the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Deputy Minister of Religion Saiful Rahmat Dasuki and a number visited the Jakarta Cathedral Church, Sunday, December 24.

The National Police Chief and the Ministers came to visit the Cathedral Church as well as wish them a Merry Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024.
