Densus 88 Secures 18 Suspicious People At Christmas Mass Eve

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said his party had arrested 18 suspicious people on Christmas Eve 2023, Sunday, December 24, 2023.

"We have secured 18 people, which we are currently investigating. They are secured by friends from Densus 88," said General Listyo Sigit while visiting the Cathedral Church in Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, Sunday, December 24.

However, Listyo Sigit did not specify to the media crew about the 18 people who were detained by Densus 88 in any church.

He only said that he had mobilized his members to secure all churches in Indonesia, totaling 39,445 in the 2023 Christmas Celebration.

"For other things that are of our concern and of course disrupting the smooth running of worship, from the Kamtibmas side, we certainly take steps," he said.

The National Police Chief together with the TNI and several religious organizations have traveled to several churches, and one of them is at the Cathedral Church, Central Jakarta, Sunday, December 24, to ensure that the Christmas Mass Security runs safely.

Before going to the Cathedral Church, the National Police Chief first visited the Reformed Millennium Center Church in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

After that, the National Police Chief immediately continued his visit to the GKI in Kemayoran and the Immanuel Church in Gambir.
