Police Will Take Measurable Action Against Brawlers As A Deterrent Effect

JAKARTA - The Cakung Police will take firm action against students who are still carrying out their actions in the Cakung area, East Jakarta. The decisive action was taken as a deterrent effect effort.

"We are committed, if there are brawlers, we will definitely process them firmly and measuredly," said Cakung Police Chief, Kompol Panji Ali Candra to VOI, Friday, December 22.

Efforts to take firm action are still being carried out even though there are no casualties or injuries due to brawls between groups of teenagers.

"It is still being processed (although there are no victims). While the articles that are suspected of entering, carrying weapons and so on, we will process the law," he said.

In addition to providing legal remedies, students who are involved in brawls are also threatened with the revocation of the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP). The police chief also asked the school to provide a deterrent effect to students.

"Then from the school, it must be firm if one of the students is involved in a brawl. He must firmly revoke the KJP or be expelled from school so that there is a deterrent effect," he said.

Kompol Panji also hopes that there will be an important role from parents in paying attention to their son.

"Families must of course supervise their sons and daughters. Parents and the police must work together," he said.
