Fisherman Mapak Indah Mataram NTB Affected By Abrasi Can Occupy The Public Government Huntara January 2024

A total of 24 families (KK) of fishermen in Mapak Indah, Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), who were affected by abrasion, were only able to occupy temporary housing (huntara) prepared by the Mataram City Government (Pemkot) in January 2024.

Head of the Mataram City Housing and Settlement Areas (Disperkim) Office, M Nazaruddin Fikri, said that currently the preparation of the huntara is in the final stages for occupancy.

"Clean water is in process and we are targeting it to be completed by the end of December," he said in Mataram, NTB, Friday, December 22, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said that the physical construction of the shelter has now been completed, as well as the electrical installation. Now, he continued, it is just a matter of waiting for the stages of installing a clean water installation.

Thus, he continued, as many as 24 families are targeted to be able to occupy permanent shelters, the housing will be occupied before January 12, 2024, according to the direction of the regional head.

"Now there are already 1-2 fishermen who we ask to stay to protect the various existing public facilities so they don't disappear before being occupied," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the letter of agreement to use shelters between the Mataram City Government and fishermen, the Mataram City Secretariat's Legal Section is still being prepared.

"This is intended, do not let anyone feel that they have been given property rights so that they can be transferred. We are currently discussing the regulation with the Legal Section," he said.

Nazaruddin added that the number of families affected by the tidal wave at the end of 2022 was 29 families, but with the available budget of IDR 1.2 billion, the target for the construction of the huntara was 24 units.

This condition occurs because the costs for the construction of shelters with the permanent construction currently being built are much larger.

"With a limited budget, in the first phase we prioritize 24 families, we propose the remaining five families next year. The affected KK data already exists," he said.
