Non-functional Roads Turned Into Green Open Spaces In Senen, Central Jakarta

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta area has again received an additional Green Open Space (RTH) in the Senen area, Central Jakarta. One additional green open space is located in the Kramat Bunder area, Senen District.

Later, the Kramat Bunder Green Open Space can be used by the community as a means of interaction to enjoy beauty.

"This Kramat Bunder Green Open Space can be created because of the support of the community who also want to see this intersection area look neat, beautiful, comfortable," said Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma to reporters, Friday, December 22.

Dhany explained that the Kramat Bunder Green Open Space was originally only a closed road by MCB.

"There are roads but they are not used, it turns out that from the results of traffic engineering it is possible to create parks," he said.

After being communicated and meeting, finally the division of tasks began. Like the Department of Transportation making a traffic study.

"After the traffic study is complete, then Binamarga, who initially owned it as a user of its assets, then handed it over to the park and city forest. Parks and city forests immediately started to create a park landscape. After the park was finished, it was inaugurated," he said.
