Anticipating the disturbance of Kamtibmas during the 2024 Christmas and New Year celebrations, the manager of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah deployed around 100 internal security officers to guard the tourist area.

The security deployment is carried out optimally to help visitors who come on New Year's Eve. In addition, security officers will also be assisted by other joint forces in terms of area security.

"We have prepared 100 security guards, assisted by elements of the TNI, Polri, Satpol PP. We will add more (security personnel) to see the dynamics in the next few days (ahead of the new year)," said TMII Operations Director, Arie Prasetyo when confirmed by VOI, Friday, December 22.

The tightening of security was carried out because the TMII tourist area was one of the favorite tourist destinations to be hit in Jakarta.

"TMII is one of the four destinations of the crowd center for New Year's Eve celebrations in 2023. We make sure that all security services are ready to welcome the new year," he said.

It is hoped that Jakarta residents can focus on celebrating New Year's Eve 2024 in the TMII area.

"Hopefully it can be a fun place for everyone at the end of the year. So that TMII becomes a destination for Jakartans and Indonesians," he said.

In addition, Polda Metro Jaya has also issued a ban on convoys of vehicles for the public on New Year's Eve 2024.

Previously, the East Jakarta Metro Police forbade the public to carry out convoys of vehicles on Christmas and New Year's Eve 2024 celebrations to prevent disturbances in public order security (Kamtibmas).

The Head of Ops for the East Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Eko Mulyadi, said that this activity could potentially cause disturbances.

"We do not recommend any activity that mobilizes the masses, because it has the potential to cause disturbances to Kamtibmas," said AKBP Eko, Wednesday, December 20.

AKBP Eko explained that the ban was advised because it was feared to be the trigger for violations or criminal acts, when he saw a group committing a violation.
