President Jokowi Enjoys Night At IKN By Eating Fried Rice

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) enjoys the evening in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, by eating Javanese fried rice.

The President, who was accompanied by a number of ministers, the Head of the IKN Authority Bambang Susantono, and the IKN Development Curator Ridwan Kamil, spent the night at IKN after groundbreaking several infrastructure projects and planting trees for reforestation.

Based on a written statement from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia, it appears that something unique is the participation of four presidential Palace cooks who cook dinner for President Jokowi and ministers.

Eka, one of the palace's cooks, said that whenever President Jokowi spends the night at IKN, he will always present a new menu to the President.

"The favorites like fried rice, but the delicious ones are sure you (Jokowi) like it," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 20.

Even so, Eka said that that night, President Jokowi still ordered his favorite food.

"Tonight you ordered Javanese fried rice with eggs," said Eka.

In addition, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo also sat down and ate dinner at IKN.

The TNI commander revealed that although he often spends the night in nature, he admitted that the night was considered different.

"As a military, we usually sleep in the forest, but tonight we have a special sleep with the President, with the ministers," he said.

Meanwhile, the National Police Chief conveyed that the joint activities with the President and ministers from morning to night at IKN were very memorable. He said that the IKN development was certain to run well.

"Today, a very memorable day can carry out several activities, which is clear today's activity ensures that all of them are on progress," said the National Police Chief.

"And tonight we get together, but of course there are many important things we are talking about," he said.
