JAMBI - Police have proposed a ban on large-loaded vehicles including trucks refueling oil (BBM) in Jambi City.
The proposal has been submitted by the Directorate of Traffic (Lalin) of the Jambi Police by writing to the Jambi City Government (Pemkot). This step by the Jami Police is to overcome the problems of congestion that often occur in Jambi City.
"So we took proactive steps to try to propose a ban on filling fuel for large-loaded trucks inside Jambi City," said Director of Traffic Directorate of the Jambi Police, Police Commissioner Dhafi in Jambi, Wednesday, December 20, as reported by Antara.
He emphasized that this initiative was in response to public complaints about congestion caused by long queues at several Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) in Jambi City.
He said that the letter had been sent to the Acting Mayor of Jambi to review the Regional regulations related to this prohibition.
The prohibited trucks include coal vehicles, basic food trucks, furniture trucks, and other large vehicles.

For information, the Jambi City Government previously implemented a limit on filling fuel for coal transport cars at gas stations in the city as an effort to reduce congestion.
Dhafi emphasized the importance of regions having special areas for queues for filling fuel so as not to interfere with general traffic.
From this proposal, the Jambi Police Ditlantas recommended that large-loaded vehicles be directed to fill fuel at gas stations located outside Jambi City, including on border routes.
Ditlantas Polda Jambi also asked all motorists to comply with traffic regulations including the obligation to complete medical devices while driving, provide complete vehicle documents, and obey traffic signs.
Dhafi hopes that this effort can reduce the level of congestion in Jambi City and improve traffic safety.
