Musala In Duren Sawit Escapes From The Fire

JAKARTA - Musala An Naman which is located on Jalan Haji Naman, RT 03/02, Pondok Kelapa Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, escaped the fire accident, Wednesday, December 20. In fact, on Wednesday afternoon at around 12.00 WIB there was a great fire that scorched 8 residents' rented houses. "Alhamdulillah, the fire did not burn the prayer room. Although the fire burned several rented buildings that were right in front of the prayer room," said Rahman, a local resident to VOI, Wednesday, December 20. The fire was extinguished at around 12.55 WIB after being extinguished by 11 fire engines. A total of 30 fire personnel were deployed to the location to extinguish the fire.

Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, said that currently the fire had been extinguished. There were 8 rented houses consisting of 9 families out of 25 people. "The cause of the fire was because one resident burned garbage and spread to the house plavon. The fire then spread to other buildings. There were no casualties or injuries as a result of the fire," he said. The fire scorched the building's land covering an area of 200 meters. The loss due to the fire was estimated at Rp. 480 million.
