Former Anies Spokesperson Calls TGUPP And DKI Jakarta BUMD Proof Of Presidential Candidate No. 1 Has 'Insiders'

JAKARTA - Former spokesman for Anies-Sandi during the 2017 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election, Anggawira said the Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGUPP) and commissioners in a number of DKI Jakarta BUMDs was proof that Anies Baswedan placed insiders or 'ordals' in his circle of power when he became a public official.

He said this was in response to Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) spokesman Tatak Ujiyati who said Anggawira deliberately twisted the context of criticism that Anies made to presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto during the inaugural debate for the 2024 presidential election recently.

"Mrs. Tatak is also an insider, TGUPP who is concurrently the LRT commissioner, continues to be fired. So what's more, it's clear, clean and clear," said Anggawira in his statement, Tuesday, December 19.

Anggawira then questioned the terms and competence of people who received positions in TGUPP and BUMD.

"I am also a person who knows firsthand, it is permissible to check the background of people close to Mas Anies who are commissioners in BUMD. Mas Anies should be critical of himself, before he criticizes others," he said.

The head of the National Young Entrepreneurs Volunteer (Repnas) then mentioned the names of Geisz Chalifa, Thomas Lembong, and Rene Suhardono who were said to be close people, Anies, who had served as Commissioner of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol. In addition, there is Usamah Abdul Aziz who has served as a member of the TGUPP.

"What is the competence of TGUPP recruitment? Do you like Mr. Anies? And their placement in BUMD-BUMD really has parameters? So I don't think you have to be naive too," said Anggawira.

He also rejected the accusation that he was distorting the context of the 'ordal' phenomenon. According to him, Tatak's statement, who is also a former TGUPP, cannot be separated from his point of view and interests as a figure who supports Anies.

"Each of us has an interest. Mrs. Tatak also has an interest. But I want to clarify that each of us has a perspective and perspective in accordance with our current positioning," he said.

On the other hand, Anggawira actually said that it was Anies who had twisted the context of 'ordal', arguing that the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) was in favor of one of the pairs of presidential candidates. In fact, the Constitutional Court's decision is collegial.

"When it comes to the Constitutional Court and so on, there is already a mechanism. The Constitutional Court's decision is not a single decision, it's a collegial collective. If that's wrong, please have another legal process. So, Mr. Anies, don't twist the legal process into a process as if there is an organization. So what kind of organization, we have to sit down this issue objectively," said Anggawira, who is also part of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN).
