2 AAS Gong Yoo Main Serial The Trunk, Seo Hyun Jin And Oh Hae Young

JAKARTA - Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin were met in the latest Netflix series, The Trunk. Despite being under the same agency, this is their first project during their career.

Gong Yoo revealed the reason for choosing this series was because Seo Hyun Jin was his co-star. He also likes the storyline that is interesting and mysterious.

"I like the intention of stories in series and novels which are the main ingredients. Stories about the dynamics of people who can be interpreted differently, that's the reason I chose (The Trunk)," said Gong Yoo in a virtual press conference on Tuesday, November 26.

In this series, Gong Yoo plays Han Jeong Won, one of the wedding service clients who will marry Noh In Ji (Seo Hyun Jin). Gong Yoo feels there is a big difference between his character in this series and the character he has played before.

Every time I have interviewed several times I say every time I choose a role, I see my similarities with his character. There are several characters as actors that you are connected to in general but here I feel great empathy for him. Psychologically he is very sorry and lives with a depressed side. He is not aware of the loneliness he has, so I am getting more and more interested in his character, "explained Gong Yoo.

Seo Hyun Jin is also the reason she took the role. She was attracted to Seo Hyun Jin's acting in the drama Another Oh Hae Young.

"I'm a fan of Oh Hae Young and his character. I just want to see him act in person. I think being in the same agency doesn't mean we can do one project but I'm curious about Seo Hyun Jin from the eyes," explained Gong Yoo.

"I wanted to see and when we interviewed, I saw Hyun Jin in the interview, I was impressed because sometimes the information can be different from the same script for the actors," he continued.

Seo Hyun Jin heard the answer and responded, "I am also honored to be able to act with Goblin The Great and Lonely God".

The Trunk series will be released on Netflix on November 29.
