JAKARTA - Vice Presidential Candidate number 1 Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin said that if they win the 2024 presidential election, they will immediately work to eradicate illegal online gambling and loans (pinjol).

"Mas Anies and I, if they win, in the morning they are sworn in, in the afternoon immediately eradicate all illegal online loans," said Muhaimin in front of hundreds of Koran teachers who are members of the Taklim Council in Bekasi Regency, West Java, Monday, December 18.

Muhaimin said the phenomenon of illegal gambling and borrowing occurred because many people found it difficult to find work, so there was an opportunity to find ways instantly to earn money.

Specifically for online loans, Muhaimin said that actually many people need financial assistance to start a business.

However, the General Chairperson of the PKB added that in reality many individuals used this to ensnare the public with unreasonable loan or credit interest.

Furthermore, he explained that the state should prepare a loan scheme normally, so that people do not need to be entangled in fraud with online loan mode.

Muhaimin added that eradicating gambling and illegal online loans should be of full concern to the president and vice president.

Thus, efforts to eradicate these evil practices can be completed to the lowest level, and there is a solution for the community.
