A Group Of People Damaged And Almost Burns Islamic Boarding Schools In Luwu, South Sulawesi

A group of people damaged and tried the burning of the Darul Istiqomah Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) located in Wara Village, Kamanre District, Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi (South Sulawesi)

The Luwu Police, South Sulawesi, arrested one suspected perpetrator who was involved in the attack and destruction of the Darul Istiqamah Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), in Wara Village, Kamanre District.

The man with the initials H (39) was arrested on Saturday, December 16 evening by the Luwu Police Satreskrim Resmob apparatus in the vicinity of the Cilalalang area.

Based on the interim examination, H played a role in burning a chair using paper. The chair was then shifted to the plywood wall of the living room of the boarding school.

Thus, two suspected perpetrators have been arrested. Previously, the police had arrested the perpetrator BS (40). The police are still pursuing the other two perpetrators.

"Two people with the initials BS and H have been detained at the Luwu Police detention center. Meanwhile, 2 other people with the initials TO and TA are still being chased. I urge other perpetrators to immediately surrender to be held accountable for their actions," said Luwu Police Chief, AKBP Arisandi, Monday 18 December.

There was an attack or attempted arson and vandalism by a group of people at the Darul Istiqomah Islamic Boarding School located in Wara Village, Kamanre District, Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi, on Wednesday, December 13.

The action disturbed and hysterically the students and female students who were studying in the hut.

The incident was allegedly triggered by disputes over the management of the foundation and ownership of Islamic boarding school land plus a fight between the management and the heirs who claimed land ownership.
