DKI Prosecutor's Office Appoints 6 Research Prosecutors To Check Firli Bahuri's Files

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office appointed six prosecutors to examine the case files of the inactive KPK chairman Firli with the number BP/213/XII/RES.3.3/2023/Ditreskrimsus on Thursday. "There were six research prosecutors who received an order to examine Firli's case file," said the Daily Executor (Plh) Head of the Legal Information Section of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office, Herlangga Wisnu Murdianto in a statement, Monday, December 18. Herlangga added that the appointment of the investigating prosecutor was determined through a warrant from the public prosecutor (JPU) to follow the progress of the investigation of the criminal case (P-16). "The appointed prosecutor will conduct a case file research and have a grace period of seven days to research and study the formal and material completeness to further determine whether the results of the investigation contained in the case file are complete or not," said Herlangga. Polda Metro Jaya has transferred the case file of KPK inactive Chairman Firli Bahuri to the DK Jakarta High Prosecutor in the case of alleged extortion of former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo on Friday at 09.30 WIB. "The investigative team has submitted the case file in question to the Prosecutor's Office at the DKI Jakarta Prosecutor's Office or stage 1 for the purposes of case file research," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya Police Kombes Police Ade Safri Simanjuntak in a written statement in Jakarta, Friday (15/12).Ade explained that investigators are now waiting for the results of research conducted by the High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) DKI Jakarta.

"Whether later the file is declared complete (P21) or not," he said.

The former Surakarta (Central Java) Police Chief also explained that investigators had examined 104 witnesses and 11 expert witnesses. "The total examination that has been carried out by the investigative team during the a quo case investigation process has been examined by 104 witnesses and 11 expert witnesses have been examined," said Ade Safri.
