TANGERANG - Ahead of the Christmas and New Year's (2024) holidays, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Tangerang (Tangsel) increased by 71 to 135 people.
"So far there have been 135 cases. Most of the positive patients are undergoing bath isolation," said Head of the South Tangerang City Health Office Allin Hendalin Mahdaniar in his statement, Sunday, December 17.
Allin explained that hundreds of patients who were exposed to COVID-19 only experienced mild symptoms. So they only undergo isolation in their respective homes.
Nevertheless, Allin asked the public to again increase community discipline in implementing health protocols and boost COVID-19 vaccination activities.
"For this reason, we will continue to remind the public to implement health procedures to avoid the transmission of COVID-19," he said.
