National Police Chief Appoints Senior Commissioner General Agus Andrianto To Become Head Of Criminal Investigation Unit

JAKARTA - The riddle about the figure who will be the head of the National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency (Kabareskrim) has finally been revealed. Commissioner General (Komjen) Agus Andrianto was appointed to the post of Kabareskrim.

Based on the telegram letter-number KEP/318/II/2021 dated February 18, Komjen Agus Andrianto will leave his old position as Head of the Security Maintenance Agency (Kabaharkam).

Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, confirmed this information. Argo emphasized that the appointment of Komjen Agus was a decision from the National Police Chief  General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

"It is true (Kabareskrim appointment)", he said when confirmed, Thursday, February 18.

In the letter, the one who will later fill the chair of Kabaharkam is Komjen Arief Sulistyanto. Previously he served as the National Police's Head of Education and Training.

Meanwhile, Komjen Rycko Amelza Dahniel, who previously served as the Head of Defense and Security, was rotated as the Kalemdiklat. Then, Kabaintelkam was occupied by Inspector General Paulus Waterpauw.

For information, Komjen Agus Andrianto is a graduate of Akpol 89 (Police Academy). Agus is a senior of General Listyo Sigit Prabowo who is Akpol 91.
