JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Ahmad Muzani highlighted the steps taken by Presidential Candidate Number 1, Anies Baswedan, who brought Harun Al Rasyid's parents to the inaugural debate of the 2024 Presidential Election. Muzani said, Anies tried to exploit the situation to attract public sympathy. "As information, Harun was the victim who died during the riots in Bawaslu, Central Jakarta on May 22, 2019. Muzani explained that during the rioting, Harun was still 15 years old and still a junior high school student. According to him, Harun came to Bawaslu to witness the winner of the 2019 presidential election, not as a sympathizer of Prabowo Subianto. Because, said Muzani, at that age, Harun did not have the right to vote. "So he (Harun) was not a voter, he was not a supporter, he was not a sympathizer nor was he, but he was the age of the children who became a victim," said Muzani to reporters, Friday, December 15. Muzani also said, Anies deliberately presented Harun's parents to attract public sympathy. The former governor of DKI Jakarta is considered to want to give the impression that there was an omission of a legal case against Harun. "I think Mas Anies exploited that atmosphere to use sympathy or to attract sympathy as if there was an omission but he forgot the facts and data in the field," said the Secretary General of Gerindra.

Regarding whether there was any omission of a legal case against Harun's death, Muzani admitted that he did not really understand. Because, he said, he did not participate in handling the case. "I don't know what the incident was called because I don't handle the law, but all our legal processes face us well," concluded Muzani.
