The KPK Council Has Postponed The Trial Of Alleged Ethical Violations Of Firli Bahuri Today

JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) postponed the trial of alleged ethical violations of the inactive KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri today, Thursday, December 14. Member of the KPK Supervisory Board Syamsuddin Haris said the postponement of the trial was carried out due to Firli's request. He asked for the trial to be carried out after the pretrial of the extortion case was held by the South Jakarta District Court (PN). It is known that Firli is currently against Polda Metro Jaya in a pretrial submitted to the South Jakarta District Court. He sued his determination as a suspect in the alleged extortion or acceptance of gratuities from former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo. Most likely (FB, ed) was not present. The reason is that he is still following the pretrial of his criminal case which is currently taking place at the District Court," Syamsuddin told reporters, Thursday, December 13. The trial remains open then the KPK Council decides its schedule, its replacement schedule, after which is closed its trial," he said. Previously reported, the KPK Council agreed to hear Firli regarding three alleged ethical violations he committed. First related to the meeting with former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

The two ethical violations committed by Firli also relate to LHKPN which is not true, including debt. Finally, an ethics trial will also be conducted regarding the rental of a house on Jalan Kartanegara Number 46. Firli is suspected of violating Article 4 Paragraph 2 letter a or Article 4 paragraph 1 letter j and Article 8 of the KPK Council Regulation (Perdewas) Number 3 of 2021.
